Pay your Nutcracker workshop fee: $320, deadline to pay is Friday, October 27 (Non-TNG participants): go to Classbug class offerings page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, the item is under "Performance Workshop Fees." Please contact admin@hydeparkdance.org if your dancer is a scholarship student to get their award applied to the fee before purchase.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT NUTCRACKER PARTICIPATION:
All rehearsal and fitting times are subject to change. Changes will be updated in ClassBug so please check your ClassBug profile! Changes will also be communicated via email.
- Casting decisions are final and are not open to discussion. Dancers or families who dispute casting decisions will not be allowed to participate in performance workshops.
- Students may be cast in more than one role, may have understudy roles in addition to their regular role/s, or may be assigned a role that is double-cast. By opting in for this performance workshop, dancers are committing to come to all rehearsals, costume fittings, and performances assigned to them. Failure to do so will result from dismissal from the show.
- Students who are asked to understudy a role are expected to attend all rehearsals for their understudy role and learn all its choreography as with their own regular role/s. In the event an emergency arises and the dancer originally cast in a given role is unable to perform, their understudy may be asked to go on in their stead.
- If, for extenuating circumstances, your dancer must miss a fitting or rehearsal (no more than 2), please give advance notice to our artistic team by filling out our Excused Absences & Make-Ups form (also available on hydeparkdance.org/absences) or emailing artisticteam@hydeparkdance.org. Performances, dress and tech rehearsals are mandatory.
Depending on the role, dancers may be required to attend Act 1, Act 2, and/or finale rehearsals. Additional outreach performances may be scheduled. These typically only apply to our TNG Company dancers, but other select roles may also be included in these special performances.

Young Dancer Holiday Show Accept/Decline

Dancers will perform before our live Nutcracker performance in Mandel Hall on December 9.
Rehearsals for this workshop will be held in Studios 3 on Mondays, directed by Ms. Jane Sawyer, student faculty, and advanced teacher trainees.
Students must attend all rehearsals on Mondays October 16, 23, 30 and November 6, 13, 27. In studio dress rehearsal will be on December 4 and the Mandel Hall dress rehearsal will be on Friday, December 8, 3:45-5:30pm.
HPSD will provide students with costumes to go over their regular class-based leotards, tights, shoes
