Every fall when our students return to the studio, we begin work on The Nutcracker, one of our largest undertakings of the year.
We will continue to update participating families on the Nutcracker cast webpage and via email about how we expect our Nutcracker performances to proceed.
Since rehearsals for The Nutcracker occur outside of regularly scheduled classes, please be aware that an additional fee ($320) is required to participate in this elective performance workshop.

Only currently enrolled HPSD dancers 7+ by 9/7/23 in ANY DANCE LEVEL 1 and above are permitted to audition for the Nutcracker.
- There will be a mandatory Family Info Meeting via Zoom for participating families (exact date and time forthcoming, link will be sent to auditioning families after auditions). Young Dancer Holiday Show families need not attend but are welcome to do so.
- Dance
rs should attend the audition that corresponds to their class level. Dancers enrolled in classes of multiple dance styles or dancers with split-level placement are welcome to audition with the upper-most level group for which they qualify. Dancers may audition with each group that corresponds with their enrollment should they so choose but are not required to audition with more than one group for casting consideration. -

e note: you must arrive 30-45 minutes before your audition start time to be measured for costumes. - All participating dancers should be checked in, with their measurements taken, and ready to dance at the start of their scheduled audition time. NO LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please plan accordingly.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
7:15-9:15 pm
ALL TNG Company dancers, boys in Ballet 4B+, girls in 4B+ w/ 1 full year+ pointe training at HPSD.
(Audition will begin in Studio 1 then dancers will be divided into groups and audition in both Studio 1 and Studio 4)
**Please arrive 30-45 minutes early to be measured for costumes (6:30-6:45pm)**

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23
2:30pm-4:15pm (Studio 1)
Variations Call-Backs
(We will announce dancers who are called back Friday evening.)
4:30pm-6:00pm (Studios 1 & 4)
Jazz 3, Modern 3-4, Ballet 4A, Ballet 4B w/ less than 1 full year pointe experience
**All non-TNG dancers must arrive 30-45 minutes early (3:45-4:00pm) for measurements.**
6:00pm -7:30 pm in Studios 1 & 4
Jazz 2, Modern 2, Ballet 3, Boys Dance 2/3
**Dancers must arrive 30-45 minutes early (5:15-5:30 pm) for measurements.**

If your dancer is in Pre-Ballet 1-3 Tap (5-7), Modern (5-7), Studio Hip Hop (5-7), AcroDance (4-6), and African (5-10), we invite them to take part in the Young Dancer Holiday Show!
