COVID-19 Studio Guidelines
HPSD is committed to the health and safety of all our dancers, faculty, staff, and their families through the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. The school follows the latest guidance from Chicago and Illinois to hold in person group classes in our studios and at what capacity. With the City of Chicago and Illinois fully reopening on June 11th, we will raise our in person class capacities to 12-16 students per class depending on the class.
HPSD class restrictions will continue to evolve as the conditions of the pandemic change, using guidelines for health and fitness group classes and schools as our industries to follow. While vaccination of the population at large has greatly reduced the risk of transmission, since HPSD primarily serves students 18 years and under, we will continue to follow most of the same masking, social distancing, and cleaning guidelines we have followed from Fall 2020 - Spring 2021 over Summer 2021. We will revisit the strict necessity of these policies when vaccination guidelines for Chicago Public Schools becomes available for Fall 2021.
Though it is not possible to eliminate the spread of COVID-19, this page outlines in greater detail the safety measures we are putting in place to help reduce the spread. Click on a topic below for more information.
