COVID-19 Studio Guidelines
HPSD is committed to the health and safety of all our dancers, faculty, staff, and their families through the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. The school follows the latest guidance from the CDC and local authorities to hold in person group classes in our studios. With Chicago and Illinois fully reopened on June 11th, we raised our in person class capacities to 12-16 students per class, depending on the class.
HPSD COVID policies and procedures will continue to evolve as conditions of the pandemic change, using guidelines for health and fitness group classes and schools as our industries to follow. While vaccination of the population at large has greatly reduced the risk of transmission, since HPSD primarily serves students 18 years and under, we will continue to require universal masking, daily symptom screenings, and more as outlined below for Fall 2021-22. **We strongly urge everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated for COVID-19 before attending HPSD studio classes.**
Though it is not possible to eliminate the spread of COVID-19, this page outlines in greater detail the safety measures we are putting in place to help reduce the spread. Click on a topic below for more information.
