Erin Barnett is a lead dance instructor for pre-professionals in Chicago. In addition to her work at Hyde Park School of Dance, Ms. Barnett teaches with the renowned Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at the Lou Conte Dance Studios, where she teaches jazz, modern, and ballet.
Ms. Barnett’s dance training and formal education includes the Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet, the Ruth Page Center, Joel Hall Dance Center, Garth Fagan Dance School, and Howard University (BFA). She has worked extensively as a concert hall dancer with world-recognized choreographers such as Tony Award winner Garth Fagan, Lula Washington, Debbie Allen, Christopher Huggins, Robert Moses, Gene Hill Sagan, Danny Ezralow, and Philadanco: The Philadelphia Dance Company. Ms. Barnett has danced on Broadway and in the Billboard Music Awards with Beyoncé. She has danced at the BET Awards and on television’s Dancing With The Stars, and is currently a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Actors’ Equity Association.
